How FreeBen Works

FreeBen is a subscription service available to Financial Services professionals.

The subscription costs just £45 per year and gives you access to the following services:

• FreeBen Means Tested Benefits Assessment, a free software application that enables advisors to quickly assess clients’ entitlement to Means Tested Benefits and view, print and save Entitlement Reports.
• UNLIMITED Entitlement reports - you can produce as many of these as you like, revisit and amend existing reports and create new cases at no additional cost
• Retirement Age Calculator. This is an essential tool you can use to establish when your client will become eligible for State Pension and/or Retirement Age State Benefits
• Free Technical Support on the software and how it assesses benefits entitlement. This is an email-based service where you can send us your enquiries. We promise to respond with a meaningful answer within one working day.
• Free Equity Release Information Pack, the fruits of many months of research into equity release and means tested benefits, and an invaluable resource for Equity Release advisors. You will receive this when you pay your first annual subscription.
• Secure Login to your personal area of our website where you can download updates to your FreeBen software.

3 simple steps to using the FreeBen service:

1. Register on the FreeBen website

   ...by completing the straightforward application form. We’ll confirm your registration and provide you with a login to the FreeBen service, where you can download the FreeBen Calculator and access the other subscription-based services. When you register, you are bound by the Terms and Conditions of the FreeBen service

2. Try it free for 30 days

   ...during which time you can make unlimited use of the FreeBen calculator and produce as many Entitlement Reports as you wish. You’ll also have full access to the other FreeBen services as listed above. We’ll remind you towards the end of this period that the free trial is about to expire

3. After your free trial, subscribe to the FreeBen service

   ...only if you wish to continue using the FreeBen service. We'll send you an invoice so you can pay conveniently and securely using our online payments service. We'll also send you your free Equity Release Information Pack.
   
   If you decide to cancel at this point, either let us know or simply do nothing. The software licence on the FreeBen calculator will expire when the 30 days is up, after which point the calculator will cease to work.
